The Result of Anambra Election 2021 turn out to be something historical

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the declaration of results for the Anambra State governorship election which commenced on Saturday.


The electoral body had yesterday extended the voting till Sunday following the failure of the Biomodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) in many poling units across Anambra State.


INEC is currently declaring results of local government areas where voting had been concluded.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed November 9 for supplementary governorship election in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.


VANTAGE NEWS reports that the INEC Returning Officer, Professor Florence Obi, stated that the supplementary election will hold in 362 polling units in Ihiala.


Obi, who cited the constitution noted that election had to take place in those polling units for the election to be conclusive.


Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) leads with a total vote of 103, 946.

INEC OFFICIALS TAKE 30-MINUTE BREAK


State returning officer, Prof. Obi has announced another 30-minute break.


She said, “we’ve taken results from 19 LGAs out of 21. One, we will have to discuss, and one there was no election at all.”


The two LGAs are Orumba North and Ihiala LGA.
